We are a wholesale processor and distributor of fresh and frozen chicken products. We sell the full range including free range, halal, corn fed, and barn raised products. Chooks also make our own speciality bacon onsite including rindless middle and streak bacon. We are currently looking for process workers to join our busy processing team.

To be considered for this position you will be hardworking and reliable and at least 2 years of work experiecne in the similar role/industry. You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a can-do attitude and will be physically fit (able to lift heavy loads) and able to stand for long periods of time.

Chooks specialises in portion control processing with a very low tolerance level in our grading system to ensure customers get consistent sizing every time. Because we bone and process our own chicken we can tailor make products such as semi boneless half chickens, semi boneless whole leg, schnitzels, and boneless netted rolls, to name a few products of what we have on offer.

·         Processing, inspecting and packing raw chicken meat

·         Manual handling duties – lifting, pulling, pushing, bending and reaching

·         Working your whole shift in a cold and/or wet environment

·         Storing and maintaining materials, equipment and tools

·         Identifying and escalating Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks

We are offering an hourly rate of between $28 and $28 for these positions and we will provide a guaranteed 30 hours for this role.
