We are currently seeking a Service Manager to manage and supervise our Residential and Commercial cleaning sites in the Bay of Plenty. 

Service Manager – Cleaning 
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Position: Permanent, Full-time

Weekly Hours- 30 hours (Opportunity for overtime when available)
Hourly Wages: $30.00 to $35.00

Job Duties include:

  • Manage, organise, and oversee the delivery of cleaning services across multiple residential and commercial sites, ensuring operational efficiency and consistent service quality standards.
  • Plan and coordinate workforce deployment, staffing levels and job timelines in line with contractual requirements and site-specific needs.
  • Develop and implement work schedules and resource allocation strategies, ensuring optimal utilisation of staff, equipment and time across all sites.
  • Conduct and oversee regular site inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and industry standards, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Create and maintain quality assurance systems and performance standards for cleaning operations across all service locations.
  • Liaise with clients and key stakeholders to manage service delivery and resolve issues.
  • Negotiate, manage and review supplier agreements for cleaning chemicals, equipment and consumables, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage and oversee procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring adequate supply levels and cost control across all sites.
  • Monitor the condition, utilisation and lifecycle of cleaning equipment, and coordinate maintenance, repair and replacement strategies.
  • Manage recruitment, training and performance management of cleaning staff to ensure workforce capability and service delivery standards are maintained.

The successful candidate must also meet the following additional requirements

  • Hold a valid driver’s licence for car operation in New Zealand
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the cleaning industry
  • Have a clean police record
  • Possess a good understanding of cleaning chemicals, including safe handling, usage, and storage according to industry and safety standards
