About the role
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Christchurch. This role has multiple carpentry role options available, including working on architectural, residential and commercial sites. You will be a key part of our skilled construction team, contributing to the delivery of premium quality homes and buildings.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Study drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
  • Order and select timbers and materials, and prepare layouts.
  • Cut materials and assemble/nail cut and shaped parts.
  • Erect framework, panelised systems, and roof framing; lay sub-flooring and floorboards; verify trueness of structures.
  • Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, doors, and window frames.
  • Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready for installation.
  • Cut wood joints.
  • May construct concrete formwork.
  • May repair existing fittings.
  • May work with plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals.


What we're looking for

  • 3 years proven experience as a carpenter or in other construction-related roles
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Proven track record of high-quality work
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address any challenges that arise
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering premium quality work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
  • A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation
