Job Description:

 Excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established Aucklandbased Thai restaurant and become a part of team in the kitchen.

This job is required to perform: (specific duty tasks)

• Develop recipes and determine how to present the food
• Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
• Work with other chefs, cooks and other food preparation workers
• Monitor and report inventory of food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor sanitation practices and ensure that kitchen safety standards are followed
• Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards
• Create and develop menu concepts that strengthen our business ambitions
• Analyse and understand consumer purchasing habits to develop menu strategies for continued growth
• Oversee the appropriate receiving and stores
• Monitoring food wastage and raw material expiry to meet agreed food cost targets
• Meet agreed food cost targets
• Maintaining HACCP procedures and practises
• Foster sound relationships with front-of-house staff and kitchen staff
• Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition

• Attendance all department meetings

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

• At least 2 years of experience working at a Thai restaurant OR Relevant; OR
• Qualification at least level 5 in any major
• The Can cook Thai food regarding to the restaurant's menu, and have the knowledge
of Thai food, Thai ingredients and Thai herbs.
