MAKING FUTURES HAPPEN INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE LIMITED are looking for an ESOL Tutor to join us. This is a full-time, permanent role with 30 working hours per week from Monday to Friday. The working location is Wellington. We offer an hourly rate of  $35.00.

Some role responsibilities would include:

·         Deliver English language classes to students whose first language is not English using a variety of methods

·         Assess learners’ English language proficiency and identify individual learning needs

·         Plan, prepare and deliver interactive English language lessons focused on daily communication and practical skills.

·         Develop and adapt teaching materials to suit varying proficiency levels

·         Provide individual and group instruction to support language development in practical contexts

·         Develop course outlines and establish clear learning objectives

·         Monitor and evaluate learner progress, maintain records and provide feedback

·         Facilitate the development of effective English communication skills

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

·         Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification; OR

·         At least five years’ relevant work experience

·         A willingness and ability to contribute to the team culture

·         Excellent time management skills

·         Capable of using Microsoft Office products, learner management systems and other technology-based teaching and learning resources as required

·         Effective communication with a diverse range of people
