AAR SKILL UPGRADE LIMITED, are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Abacus Tutors to provide structured abacus training to students. The role involves planning lessons, delivering engaging sessions, and supporting students in developing strong numerical and cognitive skills.
This a a full time role ( Minimum 30 hours/week gauranteed)
Pay: $36 - $40/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver abacus lessons for individual students and small groups
- Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, and structured learning programs
- Teach fundamental to advanced abacus techniques and mental calculation methods
- Assign exercises and practice activities based on students’ abilities and progress
- Assess students’ performance and provide constructive feedback and guidance
- Monitor and track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Prepare students for exams, competitions, or assessments
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs and skill levels
- Encourage student participation, confidence, and cognitive development
- Stay updated with new teaching methods and abacus techniques
Qualification & Requirements
- Relevant qualification in education, mathematics, or related field (Bachelor’s in any field can be considered)
- Certification or training in Abacus/Mental Maths (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
- Ability to teach students of different age groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom or small-group management ability
- Patience, adaptability, and student-focused approach
- Ability to work flexible hours (after school / weekends if required)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
