We are seeking a casual driver-storeperson for the Produce Department at our Wellington branch.

This role offers the opportunity to wear multiple hats and contribute across various aspects of our operations. You will be someone who enjoys teamwork and collaboration.

  • Shifts Time: 03:00 am to 12:00 pm (approx. depending on volume)
  • Location: William Durant Drive, Trentham, Upper Hutt

The job:

  • Delivery - Safely deliver goods to clients throughout the greater Wellington region (routes will be learned during training).
  • Pick pack - Prepare orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper labelling and prepping for delivery
  • Dispatch - Expedite the loading of trucks in the mornings, ensuring deliveries get on the road promptly.
  • Logistics - Act as our primary backup driver, providing support when needed.
  • Inventory -Replenish and rotate stock to ensure freshness, check expiry dates, and remove outdated items.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, ensuring adherence to health and safety and food safety standards.
  • Keep products separated, organised, and rotated effectively based on FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
  • Perform some processing and heavy lifting tasks.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety policy and Food safety and Quality standards

The candidate: 

  • A full Class 1 drivers license, must be able to drive manual.
  • Have clear communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on weekdays to cover absences will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Wellington and its surrounding areas is a plus.
  • Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Be confident, reliable, flexible and have attention to detail.
  • Clean driving and criminal records.
  • Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
  • Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg.
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Have reliable transport for commute.
