We are seeking an experienced Liquor store Manager to join our team in Te Awamutu. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing the store independently and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Manage the daily operations of the liquor store.

 

Manage to open and close the store.

 

Supervise staff to make sure duties are completed and store policies are followed.

 

Hire new staff, provide training, create rosters (schedules), and review staff performance.

 

Make sure the store runs smoothly.

 

Check sales and financial records regularly to understand how the store is doing.

 

Plan budgets and prepare financial reports.

 

Order stock and maintain good relationships with suppliers; negotiate good prices.

 

Organize and run promotions to attract more customers and keep regular ones happy.

 

Deal with customer complaints politely and make sure all customers are satisfied.

 

Always show a positive and helpful attitude toward customers.

 

Be self-motivated and able to handle many tasks at the same time.

 

Think creatively and offer new ideas to improve the business.

 

Use computers confidently (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and point-of-sale systems).

 

Requirements:

 

A current LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification) is essential.

 

Minimum 2 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a liquor store environment.

 

Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours/week, up to 45 hours/week.

 

Successful applicant will be offered $30.00 to $3500 per hour for all worked hours.
