We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers for a project here in Auckland. There are multiple roles available for this project. Responsible for positioning and securing reinforcement bars in concrete structures to strengthen and support them.

Ideally you will:

·   Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Steel Fixer of a hands-on experience in the construction industry

·    Strong knowledge and practical skills in cutting, bending, and tying steel reinforcement

·    Solid work ethic and able to work to deadlines when required

·    Physically fit and reliable

·    Good communication and strong skills to collaborate effectively with those around you

  • Must pass pre-employment drug, alcohol screen and MOJ check
  • Valid NZ full License
  • Must have own transport, tools and full PPE
  • Valid Site Safe (essential)

 Tasks you undertake will include but not be limited to:

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and engineering plans.
  • Evaluate design specifications to plan materials and apply effective construction techniques.
  • Cutting, bending, and trying steel rods to create reinforcement rebar, mesh and cage.
  • Install and align steel girders, columns, and supports through crane operations and hoisting procedures.
  • Assemble and install steel infrastructure by securely bolting, wiring, and welding elements to meet design requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
