·       Bottle’O Te Aroha is a locally operated liquor store committed to providing excellent customer service and a great range of products to the Bottle’O Te Aroha community.

·       We are seeking a reliable and experienced Store Manager to lead our small team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the store.

·       The successful applicant is expected to work on rostered hours which include weekends and late nights.

Key Responsibilities

·       Managing the daily operations of the liquor store

·       Setting budgets on Summer & Winter sales, staffing & meeting sales targets

·       Supervising and supporting staff members

·       Ensuring compliance with all Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act requirements and store policies

·       Maintaining excellent customer service standards

·       Stock ordering, inventory management, and merchandising

·       Managing cash handling, POS systems, and end-of-day reconciliations

·       Ensuring the store is well presented, clean, and organised

·       Monitoring sales and assisting with promotional activities

What We’re Looking For

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a liquor store or similar retail environment

·       Will require Manager's certificate

·       Previous supervisory or management skills preferred

·       Strong customer service and communication skills, must be able to attend to difficult clients

·       Good understanding of responsible alcohol sales and compliance requirements

·       Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

·       Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently

·       Must have clean character record

·       Some heavy lifting may be required (indicate any health issues)

What We Offer

·       Competitive pay of $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience
