Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans – understanding architectural&structural drawings and specifications.
  • Measure and cut materials – working with structural timber, cladding materials, plywood, and other building materials accurately.
  • Build frameworks – construct framing walls, mid floors, roof truss, and structural components.
  • Install wall cladding systems (weatherboards, cement panels, or sheet materials)
  • Install interior finishes – fitting interior doors, skiting, door locks.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure all carpentry work is carried out to high standards of craftsmanship and complies with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with site managers and other tradespeople to integrate carpentry works into overall designs.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and time taken for projects.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • NZQF Level 4 qualification, OR
  • At least two years of working experience in relevant industry
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
  • Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
  • Problem-solving and time management skills.
