We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our stone fabrication facility.

Key Responsibilities 


Production Management 
 Supervise and coordinate daily production activities including cutting, polishing, and 
finishing of stone products (e.g., granite, engineered stone, marble, porcelain). 
 Ensure production schedules are met in line with customer deadlines. 
 Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. 
Team Leadership 
 Lead, train, and motivate a team of machine operators and fabricators. 
 Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development. 
 Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability and continuous 
improvement. 


Health & Safety Compliance 
 Enforce adherence to New Zealand health and safety regulations (including WorkSafe 
requirements). 
 Identify hazards and implement corrective actions. 
 Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of stone materials and machinery. 


Quality Control 
 Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality. 
 Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and client 
expectations. 
 Implement quality improvement initiatives. 


Operational Efficiency
 Monitor production KPIs such as output, waste, and labor utilization. 
 Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. 
 Coordinate maintenance of machinery and equipment. 
Inventory & Materials Management 
 Oversee raw material usage and stock levels. 
 Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure material availability. 


Skills & Experience 
 Proven experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (stone, construction 
materials, or similar preferred). 
 Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. 
 Strong understanding of production processes and workflow management. 
 Knowledge of CNC machinery and stone fabrication tools is advantageous. 
 Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices in New Zealand. 
 Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. 
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications. 


Qualifications 
 Relevant trade qualification or manufacturing/engineering background preferred. 
 First Aid Certificate (desirable). 
 Forklift license (advantageous).
