We require permanent, full-time, Warehouse Specialists to carry out warehousing and related machinery operations at client sites.

The roles will be based in the Auckland area.

As a Warehouse Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Be familiar with customer agreements, understand requirements, and particular customer preferences to ensure that underlying agreement objectives between our company and the customer are achieved..
  • Operating forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, pallet riders and related warehouse machinery to move, stack and unstack bulk materials, containers, palletised goods, cartons and bales.
  • Loading and unloading containers (devanning), including sorting and organising goods for storage or dispatch.
  • Transporting goods to designated storage and dispatch areas within warehouse and distribution facilities.
  • Performing related pick and pack duties in accordance with order requirements and warehouse procedures.
  • Ensuring goods are stored correctly and can be easily located when orders are processed.
  • Monitoring safe operation through visual inspection, gauges and instruments, and inspecting warehouse equipment to identify wear, damage or faults.
  • Assisting with the coordination and delivery of health and safety inductions for new workers.
  • Monitoring compliance with site-specific health and safety procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Observing workers on site to ensure protective equipment is being used correctly and that hazardous materials are handled and stored in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Contributing to the identification and assessment of workplace hazards and supporting the maintenance of the site risk register.
  • Carrying out minor maintenance and adjustments to forklifts and related machinery.
  • Assisting in conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings and related workplace safety communications.
  • Supporting incident reporting processes and assisting with the investigation of workplace incidents to identify causes and preventive measures.
  • Ensure that team members to carry out all end of day procedures like rubbish clearance, tools handover, collection of work reports etc.
  • Any other related tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time

  • At least 3 years' relevant or transferrable experience in warehousing, logistics or a similar field
  • Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, pallet riders and related warehouse machinery
  • Good understanding of warehousing and production line workflows in manufacturing, food processing & packaging, retail and hospitality industries and the associated H & S requirements and regulations
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements applicable to warehousing and production line workflows
  • Willing to complete pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function well in busy environments
