Ceramic Coating Specialist - Permanent, Full Time - Dunedin, Otago | New Zealand

Join True Value cars, a trusted name. We are on the lookout for an experienced Ceramic coating specialist to join our growing team. You will be working on a range of vehicles - from private to fleet and insurance jobs - in a professional, well equipped workshop.

This is a permanent full time job with a minimum of 30 hours a week.

 

About the role:

We are looking for experienced car groomers with Ceramic Coating experience, to join our cohesive team. You will be able to work in a team environment yet be flexible and willing to learn new skills along the way

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties related to performing paint correction and installing ceramic and other coatings.
  • Perform all administrative tasks that are associated with the day-to-day duties in the detailing business.
  • Use tools associated with paint correction and coatings (buffers, polishers, compounds, coatings, application tools, all chemicals and equipment used for correction and coating prep)
  • Thorough cleaning of interior & exterior - tyres, wheels, windows & compartments in the vehicle
  • Use tools associated with detailing (vacuum, steam cleaner, pressure washer, extractor, drill brush, etc.)
  • Repairs and touch up finishes to remove scratches
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive industry safety specifications and regulations.

The Ideal candidate:

  • NZ Register Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5)
  • 6 months of on-the-job training in addition to or instead of the formal qualification.
  • Must have great Health and Safety awareness and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must have an eye for detail and be able to consistently produce a high quality of work
