Xten Painting System Limited provides top-quality interior and exterior painting
services at affordable prices. We need three experienced and hardworking painters to
join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate as well as
  protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other
  structures.
• Read work order or receive instructions from supervisor or homeowner regarding
  painting.
• Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and additionally
  removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or
  blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler, using a
  caulking gun, putty knife.
• Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and drying
  substances to prepare paint that matches specified colours.
• Remove fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers, from the walls
  before painting, using a screwdriver.
• Spread drop cloths over floors as well as room furnishings, and cover surfaces,
  like baseboards, door frames, and windows, with masking tape or paper to protect
  surfaces during painting.
• Paint surfaces, using brushes, a spray gun, or paint rollers.
• Simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects.
• Apply paint with a cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
• May also hang wallpaper fabrics.
• May wash surfaces before painting with mildew remover, using a brush.

What we are looking for:

• Proven work experience as a painter (minimum 2 years experience) or you have
  gained a National Certificate in Paintingand Decorating (Level 4) qualification.
• Solid knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety standards.
• Must have your own basic painting tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Valid Site Safe advantageous (but not essential).
• Have excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Practice.
• What we offer:
• Competitive pay and benefits - $30 - 35 per hour.
• Minimum 30 hours of work per week guaranteed.
