We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazier/Glass Installer to join our team. This role involves the cutting, fitting, and installation of glass in residential and commercial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring all installations are weather-tight, secure, and meet New Zealand Building Standards (NZS 4223).

Key Responsibilities

  • Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, and shopfronts.
  • Measure and install frameless glass showers, splashbacks, mirrors, and glass balustrades.
  • Remove old glass or broken fragments and prepare frames for new inserts.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and notch glass according to blueprints or onsite specifications.
  • Provide emergency glass repair services and re-puttying for heritage or timber windows.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with the NZ Building Code, specifically regarding safety glass requirements.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience for at least 3 years as a Glazier
  • With NZQCF Level 4/NOL Skill Level 3 qualification.
  • Proficiency with glazing tools, glass cutters, and suction lifters.
  • A valid NZ Driver’s License is essential (Class 1).
  • Ability to lift heavy glass sheets and work comfortably at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Precision in measuring and a high-quality finish on sealants and beads.
