  • Position: Transport Manager
  • Pay Rate: $35 - $38
  • Minimum Weekly Hours: 30
  • Maximum Weekly Hours: 45
  • Location: Whangarei

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, directing, and controlling the overall operations of the courier company, ensuring efficient and profitable delivery services
  • Developing and executing strategic business plans, including expansion, service improvement, and market growth initiatives
  • Managing and controlling organisational budgets, including financial planning, cost management, and revenue optimisation
  • Establishing organisational policies, objectives, and performance standards to drive operational efficiency and service quality
  • Directing workforce management at a strategic level, including staffing structure, performance frameworks, and leadership oversight
  • Leading senior operational decision-making, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term growth strategies
  • Negotiating, approving, and managing high-value contracts with corporate clients, logistics partners, and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring full compliance with transport regulations, licensing, and health and safety legislation at an organisational level
  • Overseeing fleet strategy and asset management, including investment decisions, lifecycle planning, and resource allocation
  • Monitoring and analysing financial and operational performance, making executive decisions to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Driving continuous business improvement initiatives, including innovation, automation, and operational optimisation
  • Managing corporate relationships and stakeholder engagement to support business development and long-term partnerships
  • Providing leadership and direction to management staff, ensuring effective implementation of company strategies and policies

Requirements:

  • 3 year’s experience OR  Level 4 qualification
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
