Masterscape NZ Limited, based near Auckland Airport, is seeking a full-time Bricklaying Technician & Landscaping Machinery Operator (minimum 30 hours per week). The role includes bricklaying, paving, retaining walls, machinery operation, truck driving, site preparation, and equipment maintenance. Who we are:

Masterscape is a growing landscaping company delivering premium outdoor construction projects across Auckland. We specialise in landscaping, hardscaping, paving, retaining walls, earthworks, and complete outdoor transformations.

 

We are looking for a skilled Bricklaying Technician & Landscaping Machinery Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on, varied role for someone confident across bricklaying, machinery operation, transport, and basic equipment maintenance.

 

Job Type: Full-time, minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week

 

Key Responsibilities:

You will be involved in a wide range of landscaping and construction tasks, including:

• Bricklaying, block-laying, paving, and stonework
• Building retaining walls, garden features, patios, and outdoor structures
• Operating landscaping machinery including excavators, loaders, compactors, and small plant
• Truck driving for material delivery and site support (where required)
• Site preparation, excavation, grading, and material handling
• Basic machine maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs
• Reading plans and working accurately to specifications
• Supporting general landscaping and construction tasks onsite
• Maintaining safe, clean, and efficient work practices

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or paving work
• Is confident operating construction or landscaping machinery
• Has experience with truck driving (preferred or willing to be trained if licensed)
• Can perform basic machine maintenance and minor repairs
• Is practical, reliable, and physically fit
• Can read plans and follow instructions accurately
• Has strong awareness of health and safety
• Works well in a team and takes pride in workmanship
• Holds a valid driver’s licence (having a truck licence advantageous)
• Relevant tickets, endorsements, or trade qualifications are an advantage
• Must be able to pass an MOJ Check and drug test

 

What We Offer

Pay Rate: from $30.5 per hour to $35 per hour

Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week.
