We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to support our warehouse and logistics operations. This role involves operating a forklift for loading and unloading goods, assisting with stock movement and storage, and ensuring efficient day-to-day workflow.

The successful applicant will be responsible for handling pallets of goods, maintaining a clean and organised work area, and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed. Previous forklift operating experience is required.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently within the processing facility.
  • Load and unload pallets and materials from delivery trucks.
  • Transport raw sheepskins from receiving areas to processing areas.
  • Move pallets/bins of sheepskins between receiving, processing, storage, and loading areas.
  • Assist with container loading operations such as move the finished salted sheepskins to packing and container loading areas.
  • Stack and store pallets/bins safely in designated areas.
  • Assist with inventory movement.
  • Support stocktaking activities when required.
  • Perform daily forklift safety checks.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Report hazards, equipment issues, or incidents immediately.
  • Other works required by the manager.
Pay Rate: $27.50 - $33.00 /hour
 
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours. Permanent full-time.
 
Requirements for the job:

At least 3 years of forklift driving experience (could be in any industry)

Reliable and physically fit.

Full time availability.

Strong awareness of workplace health and safety.

Be able to do late shift (3PM-12AM).

No criminal record
