GOODNOZE PET CUISINE LIMITED is seeking a Food/Materials Technologist to undertake scientific and technical staff. 

The role focuses on applying chemical, physical, and material science principles in pet food production, including product development, analytical testing, and process optimisation to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Design and conduct laboratory experiments to analyse chemical and physical properties of ingredients and finished pet food products
  2. Apply scientific principles to develop and improve product formulations, incjding nutritional composition, stability, and shelf-life
  3. Perform and interpret analytical testing, ensuring scientific accuracy and data integrity
  4. Evaluate raw materials and ingredients based on chemical composition and functional performance
  5. Investigate and resolve product quality or processing issues using scientific methods and data analysis
  6. Contribute to process optimisation by analysing production variables and recommending improvements
  7. Develop and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures in compliance with GMP and food safety standards
  8. Prepare technical reports and documentation to support product development and regulatory compliance

Supporting Resposibilites 

  1. Collaborate with production and quality teams;
  2. Support continuous improvement initiatives 

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Engineering; Food Science; Chemistry; Materials Science; or closely related discipline
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of chemical analysis, material properties, and food processing systems
  3. Experience in laboratory-based testing, data analysis, and scientific reporting
  4. Understanding of GMP, quality assurance systems, and regulatory compliance

Preferred Experience 

  1. Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or laboratory environments
  2. Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, NIR, titration, or similar instrumentation
  3. Experience in research, product development, or process optimisation
