Job Description:

We are an Auckland-based construction company with strong ties to Asian property developers, primarily serving a broad Asian client base. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.  

Tasks include:

  • Coordinating and supervising day-to-day on-site construction activities to ensure work is carried out in accordance with plans, specifications, and timelines 

  • Monitoring the performance of construction workers and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed to required quality standards 

  • Assisting in planning and scheduling of work activities in consultation with the project manager 

  • Inspecting ongoing work to ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and company standards 

  • Identifying and reporting any construction issues, delays, or risks, and assisting in implementing practical solutions 

  • Ensuring adherence to New Zealand health and safety regulations and promoting safe work practices on site 

  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members to support smooth site operations 

  • Checking materials and work progress to ensure efficient use of resources 

  • Maintaining basic site records, progress updates, and reporting to management 

  • Providing guidance and direction to workers on-site to ensure tasks are performed correctly and efficiently

Job pre-requisites: 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant management experience, preferably within the property development or construction industry.

  • Alternatively, applicants with a bachelor’s degree or higher in a management-related discipline may be considered with a minimum of 1 year of relevant full-time management experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of leadership and responsibility. 

  • Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.
