We are looking for full-time Cabinet Makers to join our team. 

M Kitchens aims to become one of the highly rated kitchen brands in New Zealand. We specialize in manufacturing and installing high-quality custom kitchens, cabinets and joinery for residential and commercial projects. Our services include customized kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, laundry cabinets, bookcases, bathroom cabinets, and other tailored cabinetry solutions.

The successful candidates will be working on a range of custom cabinetry, kitchen joinery, commercial interiors, and shopfitting projects.

 

Key duties include:

  • Manufacture and assemble custom cabinets, kitchen units and other joinery products
  • Read, interpret and work from plans, drawings, specifications, measurements, and cutting lists
  • Measure, cut, shape, edge, laminate, assemble and finish timber, plywood, and other materials
  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Install cabinets, joinery units, hardware, hinges, drawers and fittings on site when required
  • Check completed work to ensure accuracy and quality meet our standards and client requirements
  • Carry out repairs, adjustments, and modifications to cabinetry and joinery as required
  • Work closely with designers, project coordinators to complete projects on time
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop and worksite environment
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

 

The successful candidate should have:

  • A relevant level 4 or above qualification OR Relevant work experience in cabinet making, joinery, kitchen manufacturing or a similar role
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
  • Good knowledge of cabinetry materials, fittings and installation methods
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship
  • Good physical fitness and good time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A reliable, responsible and positive work attitude
  • Willingness to learn, improve and take ownership of assigned work

 

We offer a competitive rate of $30 - $35 per hour for suitable candidate depending skills and experience. The role is based on a minimum of 30 hours per week.
