Electrician

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing systems and electrical components across commercial and residential sites. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to ensure systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

Duration: Permanent, Full time – 30 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster

Pay rate: $40.00 per hour, up to $50.00 per hour, based on Work Experience.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

About the role:

Key Responsibilities of an Electrician

· Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications

· Measure and mark out installation reference points

· Install, connect, and test electrical wiring, cables, and components

· Install electrical switchboards and connect systems to power supply

· Use electrical test equipment to diagnose faults and identify issues

· Repair or replace faulty wiring and defective components

· Test circuits for continuity and safe operation

· Install, test, and adjust electrical and mechanical parts of lifts and associated systems

· Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of lift equipment

· Ensure all work complies with electrical standards and health and safety regulations

· Maintain accurate records of work completed, faults, and repairs

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

· Relevant qualification in Electrical or related trade OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience. A bachelor’s degree or Post bachelor Higher qualification in any field, will be acceptable for this role.

· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings

· Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

· Good understanding of electrical safety standards

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively- To be considered for this role you must be in NZ, and either be an NZ resident, citizen or have the legal right to work in NZ full time.
