Luminous Electrical Ltd is a trusted provider of electrical services based in Auckland. We specialize in a wide range of electrical and electronics work across residential and commercial systems. We are seeking a skilled Electronic Equipment Worker to install, maintain, and repair electronic systems for smart home automation and residential & commercial security solutions. The role involves working with a range of integrated technologies, including alarms, CCTV, access control, and IoT-based home systems. This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week. 

 

The tasks of this role include:

· Installing, configuring, and commissioning electronic equipment and systems, including smart home automation systems (lighting, climate, IoT devices), security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control), etc.

· Diagnosing faults in electronic instruments, control systems, and circuits using testing equipment

· Repairing or replacing defective components such as sensors, circuit boards, and control modules

· Assembling, wiring, and connecting electronic systems in accordance with technical specifications

· Testing electronic systems after installation or repair to ensure proper operation

· Conducting routine maintenance and servicing to ensure system reliability and performance

· Reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals

· Providing technical support and guidance to clients regarding system use and maintenance

· Maintaining records of service, installation, and maintenance work

 

Requirements for this role include:

· At least two years of work experience in an electronics or electrical-related area.

· A certificate in an electronics or electrical-related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in any major, can replace the work experience requirement.

· Be punctual and responsible

· Able to work both independently and as part of a team

· Must be able to arrange own transportation
