Painter

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Painter. The ideal candidate will have proven residential painting experience. This role involves preparation, application, and finishing tasks 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired results.
• Follow health and safety protocols.
• Perform touch-ups and maintenance tasks on existing paintwork.
• Meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and materials.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a residential painter or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good physical condition with stamina for lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with exterior and interior painting projects.
• Familiarity with various types of paint application methods.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.

Job Details

•  Immediate Start 
•  Pay rate: $30+ depending on experience and qualification
• Monday – Friday schedule, occasional weekends
• Located in Napier
• Potential for temporary to permanent position.
