We are seeking a commercially strong Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of established packaging customers within a well-established and forward-thinking packaging business.

This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with customers across FMCG, food and beverage, manufacturing, logistics and distribution, in a business that values strong relationships, teamwork, and doing things properly while still enjoying the journey.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of established packaging customers

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with a focus on service, responsiveness and partnership

  • Work closely with customers to understand their packaging requirements, usage trends and operational needs

  • Identify new business opportunities and opportunities to broaden product and solution uptake within existing accounts

  • Collaborate with internal technical, production and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable delivery

  • Support pricing, forecasting and demand planning in line with customer requirements

  • Maintain a structured account plan identifying growth and retention opportunities

  • Ensure accurate account activity and reporting through CRM systems

  • Contribute to account retention, customer satisfaction and sustainable revenue growth

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in Account Management or Business Development Manager within packaging, print, manufacturing or a related industrial environment

  • Strong relationship management skills with a focus on long-term partnerships

  • Proven ability and drive to proactively prospect and develop new customers

  • Commercial understanding including pricing, margins and customer profitability

  • Ability to identify both new business opportunities and growth opportunities within existing accounts

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across operational environments

  • Confident using CRM systems, ERP platforms and Excel for reporting and forecasting

  • Highly organised, consistent and structured approach to account planning

  • A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment

Location:

Auckland based, with frequent travel to customers as required.
