As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail establishment, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be tasked with managing and training staff, creating and implementing effective sales strategies, managing inventory and stock levels and providing exceptional customer service.

Store Manager is expected to work a minimum 32 hours a week with a weekly payroll. Houes are rostered every week and might include weekend shifts.

Wage Rate: $ 24.00 - $ 26.00 per hour.

Storeperson is expected to work a minimum of 32 hours a week with a weekly payroll. Hours are rostered every week and might include weekend shifts.

 

Wage Rate: $ 24.00 - $ 25.00 per hour.

Store Manager Responsibilities:

Ensuring compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and occupational health and safety regulations.

Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control, product mix and pricing, including implementing stock control systems, stock tracking, purchasing, stock discounting and clearance.

Developing and maintaining a professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers.

Looking for opportunities to improve procedures and make improvements where appropriate, particularly purchasing and marketing policies and service standards.

Developing effective marketing strategies to ensure business profitability.

Promoting and advertising the store’s goods and services.

Selling goods to customers, advise and recommend products and add on products.

Sales and delivery of business accounts.

Following up on customer complaints/comments quickly.

Managing the recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and motivating the store employees.

Conducting appraisals and performance reviews and providing or organizing training and development.

Ensuring the business has a sufficient level of staffing and staff rosters are prepared promptly.

Ensuring staff are trained in the correct procedure for running the business.

Ensuring staff are aware of specials.

Maintaining records of financial transactions, daily cash reconciliation, petty cash and banking.

Ensuring the overall business operates smoothly.

Answering phones quickly and ensure staff do the same.

Maintaining security controls - cash, keys, alarms and stock.

Fulfilling online orders.

Valid Driver's Licence is required.

 

Store Manager Requirements:

LCQ Certificate &/or Manager Certificate.

At least Five years of relevant experience or a level 5 or above qualification in business management.

Good Communication skills.

Storeperson Responsibilities:

Generating labels and stocking the goods in appropriate places.

Assisting with inbound goods and online shopping.

Picking, packing and despatching all online orders in a timely manner.

Working in a cold environment. It could range from 2- 6 degrees Temp.

Follow all safety procedures and Health and safety protocols.

Use equipment safely and monitor all chillers for correct temperatures.

Manual packing and cleaning. Assist the store manager/ duty manager in retail operations.

Provide great customer service to all our valued customers.

Other duties and tasks as and when required.

Storeperson Requirements:

LCQ Certificate &/or Manager Certificate.

At least Four years of relevant experience or a level 5 or above qualification in business management.

Reliable, honest, and showing up on time to shifts.

Motivated and have a passion for working. Must be physically fit to lift at least 15 kg of weight.

Retail Store experience is preferred but not compulsory - Full training will be provided.

Valid Driver's Licence is required.
