4S Motors Limited is an established automotive repair and panel beating business based in Auckland. Due to increasing customer demand and higher repair volumes, we are expanding our team and are seeking experienced Vehicle Painters to join our workshop.

Full-time, permanent position
Minimum 35 hours per week

Pay Rate:

$30 – $40 per hour, depending on experience and skill level

As a Vehicle Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing motor vehicle surfaces to a high standard. The role requires the ability to work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality finishes in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces including cleaning, sanding, rust removal, and masking
  • Fill dents and imperfections to ensure smooth surfaces
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings to achieve accurate colour matching
  • Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray painting equipment
  • Ensure even coverage and high-quality finish
  • Operate and maintain spray booths and painting equipment
  • Inspect completed work and carry out polishing or refinishing if required
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in vehicle painting or automotive refinishing
  • Ability to independently complete the full painting process from preparation to finishing
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Familiarity with automotive paint systems and spray painting equipment
  • Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work as part of a team
