We are seeking a reliable and skilled Agricultural Mobile Plant Operator to join our orchard operations team. The role involves operating and maintaining agricultural machinery as well as supporting general orchard duties such as picking, pruning, and crop maintenance to ensure high-quality production.

  • Operate agricultural machinery including tractors, mowers, and other orchard equipment
  • Perform routine pre-operational checks and basic maintenance of machinery
  • Picking and packing fruit according to quality standards
  • Pruning trees and vines to promote healthy growth and optimal yield
  • Thinning fruit to improve size and quality
  • Planting, watering, and maintaining orchard crops
  • Assisting with pest and disease control activities
  • General orchard maintenance including weeding, mulching, and irrigation tasks
  • Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Report any machinery faults, hazards, or crop issues promptly
  • High school qualification, to understand, write and read English at a basic level 
  • No previous job experience is essential but if were, it would be beneficial
  • Basic knowledge of orchard operations and crop management
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons
