Refrigeration Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our dynamic team at Dairycool Ltd. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and servicing commercial refrigeration systems for our dairy farm client base across the Canterbury region. Key tasks

Travelling to client sites in Canterbury as scheduled by the management team. 

Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on a variety of commercial refrigeration units.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with refrigeration systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.

Carrying out fault finding and repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of equipment.

Providing rostered emergency call-out services to promptly address any refrigeration system breakdowns.

Maintaining detailed records of all service work using cloud based mobile apps.

Collaborating with the wider team with new installations and replacement of refrigeration systems.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Typical hours of work are 40hrs per week with a guaranteed minimum of 60hrs per fortnight.

Hourly rate range of $28.00/hr to $34.00/hr plus overtime and tool account, based on experience and qualifications.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Refrigeration/AC Technician, preferably in a commercial setting, or formal qualifications in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 3 or equivalent.

Strong technical skills in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of refrigeration systems.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The candidate will have a sound level of spoken and written English language skills.

A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel daily using a company vehicle to various client sites.

Is comfortable to work as part of a team and also confident to work individually.
