Superstaff is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Technician to join a busy recycling plant based in Penrose.
This role is well suited to a hands-on, mechanically minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to the changing demands of daily operations.
About the role
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your work will include fault finding, preventative maintenance, and supporting the day-to-day running of the plant. This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities
Maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment
Working with hydraulic systems
General welding and fabrication
Diagnosing faults and carrying out preventative maintenance
Supporting overall plant operations
What we’re looking for
You will have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, along with experience in hydraulics and welding. A background in maintaining industrial machinery is preferred.
We’re looking for someone with a practical, can-do attitude who is adaptable, reliable, and committed to high standards of work.
What’s on offer
Consistent full-time hours, Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm, along with competitive pay based on experience. This is a great opportunity to work in a stable and essential industry with a supportive team.
