Truck Repair Workshop Foreman – Penrose
Join our client’s busy truck body repair and fabrication workshop in Penrose as their new Workshop Foreman.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who knows trucks inside out, can manage a small team, and keeps the workshop running smoothly day to day.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, including:
*Managing and mentoring a team of fabricators and repair technicians
*Scheduling and coordinating maintenance, accident repairs, and rebuilds
*Allocating jobs and organising your own time as well as the team’s
*Ensuring high-quality workmanship and safe work practices
*Troubleshooting issues as they arise and keeping jobs on track
*Liaising with management and customers on progress and priorities
What You’ll Bring
*Strong background in truck body repair, fabrication, and welding
*Current welding tickets (MIG, TIG, ARC)
*Proven experience leading or supervising a workshop team
*Ability to read drawings, plan jobs, and problem-solve on the fly
*Solid understanding of scheduled maintenance and accident repair processes
*Reliable, organised, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment
Location: Penrose, Auckland
Pay & Hours: Hourly rate depending on experience
Full-time, permanent position
