Superstaff is seeking a reliable Welder / Handyperson to join a busy recycling operation in Penrose, repairing and maintaining metal recycling cages.
This role suits a practical, switched-on individual who can work independently, take initiative, and confidently problem-solve on the job.
About the role
You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining metal recycling cages, along with general welding and fabrication tasks. The role involves identifying issues, finding practical solutions, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site. You’ll be working both independently and as part of a wider team.
Key responsibilities
*Repair and maintenance of metal recycling cages
*General welding and fabrication work
*Identifying faults and implementing practical solutions
*Safe use of hand and power tools
*Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
*Supporting the team as required
What we’re looking for
You will have solid welding experience, ideally MIG, along with general fabrication and metal repair skills. A strong all-round handyperson skill set is essential.
We’re looking for someone with initiative, common sense, and the ability to work without constant supervision. Reliability and a positive, can-do attitude are key.
Location & hours
Penrose, Auckland
Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
Pay & contract
$28–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Temporary role to start, with ongoing prospects for the right person
