We J&C STARFISH LIMITED are a leading installing firm based in Auckland,New Zealand. we are looking for skilled and qualifield welders to join our team. You will be responsible for welding fabricating and repairing metal components. This is a hands-on workshop or site- based role where you will work from buleprints to finished  assembly.ensuring all work complies with NZ standards.

●        Number of positions for this job: up to 7
●        Pay rate: from $27-$35 per hour
●        Days required: 5-6 days/week
●        Hours per week: min 30, max 60 hours per week
Responsibilities and Account abilities:

· Interpretation & Planning: Read and interpret plans, drawings, blueprints, and technical welding specifications to determine job requirements.
· Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC/Stick) on materials such as steel, aluminum, and alloys to join metal parts and structures.
· Fitting & Assembly: Cut, bend, shape, and fit steel or metal parts; assemble components using riveting, bolting, or brazing where required.
· Quality Control: Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections; measure dimensions of finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
· Equipment Maintenance: Safely maintain and operate welding equipment, tools, and machinery; perform daily pre-start checks.
· Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to company safety protocols and WorkSafe NZ guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensuring a safe working environment.
· Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other trades to meet production deadlines.

• At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification
