As the business transitions its warehouse operations to a newly established Palmerston North site, they’re seeking a hands‑on Warehouse Manager to take ownership of daily operations and help shape the future of the facility.
 
The Role
 
This is a practical, involved Warehouse Manager role where you’ll lead a small team, safeguard product integrity, and ensure the warehouse runs efficiently, safely and compliantly. You’ll oversee a high‑volume, high‑SKU environment and play a key role in setting standards as the site becomes operational.
 
You’ll also act as a responsible steward of the property, ensuring the shared facility remains tidy, compliant and well managed while working confidently with auditors and co‑tenants.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end warehouse operations, including receiving, dispatch, storage and stock control
  • Maintaining strong FIFO, batch integrity and stock accuracy across a large product range
  • Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety and food safety compliance
  • Operating forklifts (counterbalance and reach) and supporting stores work as required
  • Identifying improvements to systems, efficiency and processes
 
About You
  • 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations, ideally within FMCG or food environments
  • Strong understanding of food safety and Health & Safety requirements
  • Confident with stock management, FIFO and batch‑controlled products
  • SAP experience and current forklift licences (counterbalance and reach)
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast‑paced team and dealing with auditors
