BMV TRADING LIMITED is looking for a dependable and motivated Store Manager to join its team in Auckland CBD. The role involves independently managing day-to-day store operations, delivering a high standard of customer service, managing stock effectively, and leading the team to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall daily store operations, ensuring a well-organised and customer-focused retail environment
- Oversee inventory control, conduct regular stock checks, and arrange timely replenishment to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships while exploring opportunities to enhance and expand the product range.
- Set product pricing and plan special offers to achieve sales and margin targets.
- Supervise staff, allocate tasks, and monitor performance to ensure duties are completed efficiently and accurately
- Lead recruitment processes, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring staff adhere to professional conduct and appearance
- Plan and execute promotional activities and merchandising initiatives to drive sales performance.
- Oversee stock receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory tracking
- Monitor budgets, analyse sales performance, control labour costs, and manage expenses to achieve financial targets
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food safety, and operational policies
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and address operational issues with sound decision-making
- Support staff development through training, mentoring, and regular performance feedback
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages accountability and teamwork.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour based on your skills and experience.
Requirements for the Role:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or at least relevant level-5 qualifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
