Skilled Landscaper needed for a premier Christchurch-based crew specializing in high-end residential and commercial outdoor environments. Provide expert on-site execution through precise site contouring, heavy material handling of schist and timber, and high-standard planting; maintain rigorous health and safety protocols across challenging alpine terrain; and ensure a meticulous, organized workspace while collaborating with designers and trades to deliver world-class landscapes within a dedicated and professional team

About the Role

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Landscaper to join our team in Christchurch. You will be a vital part of our field crew, ensuring complex softscape and hardscape projects stay on schedule and sites are maintained to a world-class standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Site Preparation & Contouring: Clearing sites, managing soil levels, and ensuring proper drainage for premium builds.
  • Hardscape Construction: Assisting with the installation of schist stonework, timber decking, retaining walls, and paving.
  • Softscape Execution: Handling high-standard planting, mulching, and turf installation according to detailed landscape plans.
  • Material Management: Safely loading, unloading, and moving heavy materials like large-scale rocks and timber across varied alpine terrain.
  • Equipment Operation: Using specialized landscaping tools and machinery (such as augers, compactors, or basic excavators) under supervision.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to health and safety protocols, particularly in challenging and changeable alpine weather conditions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Experience: At least 5 Years of experience in landscaping, gardening, or a physically demanding outdoor manual role.
  • Physical Fitness: Capability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks throughout the day in a rugged outdoor environment.
  • Reliability: A "turn-up-on-time" attitude and a strong work ethic—our team relies on you to keep the project moving.
  • Communication: Ability to follow detailed design instructions accurately and work effectively within a collaborative crew.
  • Safety Conscious: A solid understanding of site safety; a valid Site Safe card is highly regarded.
  • Logistics: A valid driver’s license and your own reliable transportation to get to various sites around Christchurch.
