The Company:
Our client based in East Tamaki is a New Zealand owned and managed IT Service Provider. They provide a seamless combination of strategy, solutions, and managed services, enabling businesses to outsource the service and management of their entire IT network.

Their key focus is to deliver outstanding results to their clients, using leading tools, technologies, and best practice methodologies.

They are looking to strengthen their sales and client management function, so are actively seeking to appoint an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow a valued portfolio of SME clients.

This is a consultative role, where you will be in regular contact with your clients to ensure their current IT support needs are being met, while also planning for their future requirements.

You will provide value-add support, identifying opportunities to enhance your clients’ IT environments and delivering effective solutions, with a strong focus on building long-term, sustainable client relationships.


Who we are looking for:
We envision this role being suited to an experienced Account Manager with a solid IT/technical background and experience within a Managed Service environment (preferred).

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical capability and sales experience, allowing you to hold credible, consultative conversations with clients and confidently align solutions to their business needs.


The Role:

  • Manage and nurture a portfolio of SME clients

  • Deepen existing client relationships to drive high-quality business outcomes and revenue growth

  • Manage a proactive call cycle, across all clients, ensuring consistent and meaningful engagement

  • Conduct regular client reviews to ensure satisfaction and that ongoing value is being delivered

  • Prepare proposals and solution-based quotes tailored to client needs

  • Upskill across solutions around infrastructure, cloud, security products and managed services.

  • Respond to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Identify solutions to maximise revenue and present proposals for up-sell and growth opportunities

  • Collaborate with the projects team to identify and convert new project opportunities

  • Plan and manage individual client development plans and growth strategies

  • Manage proposals, contracts, and service level agreements

 
About You:

  • Minimum 2–3+ years’ experience in IT Account Management or Sales

  • A solid IT technical understanding, preferably at Level 2

  • An understanding of IT licensing solutions

  • Confident communicator – engaging and easy to relate to

  • Proven ability to identify and capitalise on revenue growth opportunities

  • Problem solver, solution-focused

  • Highly organised, with the ability to plan and manage a busy workload

  • Enjoys contributing to and participating in a team environment

  • Able to gain clear client agreement, commitment, and close revenue-generating opportunities

  • Understands the SME space, preferably with prior experience in this sector
