Looking for 5 experienced Truck Drivers to join a Tauranga and Palmerston North based operation, running long-haul routes across the North Island. 

This role supports operations in both Tauranga (Bay of Plenty) and Palmerston North (Manawatū-Whanganui). Drivers must be willing and able to work across both locations, including moving between regions as required by business needs. Assistance with relocation or associated travel costs will be provided where applicable. 

This is a full-time, permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Work is rostered Monday to Sunday, including weekends, night shifts, and overnight runs. 

 

About the Role: 
This role primarily involves operating Class 5 vehicles (truck and trailer combinations). At times, drivers may be required to operate Class 4 vehicles where trailers are decoupled. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Safely operate and manoeuvre truck and trailer units across long-haul routes  

  • Operate vehicles in accordance with road safety and company requirements  

  • Carry out basic troubleshooting (e.g. punctures, minor issues)  

  • Accurately input job stages into an automated system  

  • Maintain compliance with logbook and Health & Safety requirements  

  • Record work/rest hours, mileage, and fuel/toll usage  

  • Assist with loading and unloading where required  

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Heavy Vehicle / Truck license (Class 5 driver’s license in New Zealand or equivalent if you are offshore) 

  • At least 1 year of experience in heavy truck driving and in operating manual gearbox 

  • Experience driving manual vehicles  

  • Sound knowledge of logbook and Health & Safety requirements  

  • Flexibility for weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts  

  • Ability to travel across the North Island  

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling  

  • Must pass police, medical, and drug/alcohol testing
