We’re looking for a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our small team.

 

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Review plans and specifications, measure and mark surfaces, and plan tile layout
  • Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing existing tiles, grout, and adhesives, repairing defects, and cleaning surfaces
  • Apply adhesives and accurately position tiles on walls and floors
  • Cut and shape tiles using appropriate tools to fit edges, corners, and around fixtures such as pipes and fittings
  • Ensure tiles are properly aligned, level, and evenly spaced
  • Grout tiles and clean off excess material to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Apply waterproofing systems where required
  • Install flooring materials such as granolithic, terrazzo, cement, or similar finishes
  • Create decorative layouts, including patterned or mosaic tiling where required

 

Job pre-requisites:

  • A qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience may substitute for the qualification.
  • Eyes for details and a hard-working attitude.
  • Being physically fit.
  • Must not have any criminal record.
