We are looking for Two Truck Drivers to join our team based in Auckland. As a
Truck Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods
to our clients across various locations in New Zealand.
Position: Truck Driver
Hourly Rate: $30 - $35
Minimum Weekly Hours: 30
Location: Auckland
Duties:
- Drive moving trucks and transport furniture, household goods, and office equipment safely to different locations.
- Load and unload furniture and other items onto trucks using proper lifting and moving techniques.
- Pack, wrap, pad, and secure furniture to prevent damage during transportation.
Assemble and disassemble furniture when required. - Plan delivery routes and follow delivery schedules.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, invoices, and customer documentation.
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, straps, and lifting tools.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding pickup and delivery details.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, workplace health and safety procedures, and company policies.
- Assist with warehouse duties and storage organization when required.
- Handle fragile or valuable items carefully and report any damages or issues immediately.
- Refuel and maintain cleanliness of the truck and moving equipment.
- Work as part of a moving team to complete residential and commercial relocations efficiently.
Requirements:
- Class 2 License or Equivalent
- 1 year experience or any level 2 qualifications
- Forklift License or willing to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fit and the ability to manual loading.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends, as needed.
