BAI GENERAL CONSTRUCTION LTD. We are currently looking for one Permanent Full time Fitter/Welder. Minimum guaranteed hours at least 30 to maximum 40 per week (5 work days between Monday to Sunday). Pay rate will be vary as per your ability between $32 to $35 per hour. You have a great opportunity to join our busy growing team and our location of the work would be across the Auckland Region.

TASK Includes:

  • leading the coordination and prioritisation of resources across projects

  • Interprets engineering drawings and specifications

  • Measures metal components for cutting, shaping and welding

  • Fits and assembles metal parts according to engineering specifications

  • Cuts and shapes metal components using hand and power tools

  • Welds metal components using various welding techniques

  • Cleans welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

  • Inspects and tests welded components for quality and compliance with specifications

  • Physically fit

  • Able to pass Health and criminal check if required

  • Be honest and reliable for the team

  • At least 5 years of Experience required for this role within construction field or Relevant qualification (Bachelor Degree or Higher Degree) will substitute for this role within construction field.

  • Necessary on job training may be needed in addition to the formal qualification.
