Their products are widely specified by architects and designers who value both aesthetic appeal and long-term performance, making them a trusted name within the design and construction ecosystem.

With continued growth and increasing demand, they are now looking to appoint a commercially driven Specification / Sales professional to join their Auckland team.


The Opportunity:
This role is a blend of specification influence and commercial sales performance, where your ability to build relationships directly drives revenue outcomes.

You will be responsible for developing influential relationships across the A&D community, including architects, landscape designers, developers, and builders, ensuring products are specified into projects at the earliest possible stage. Alongside this, you will take clear ownership of the commercial sales cycle, identifying opportunities, progressing conversations, and converting specification into tangible project revenue.

Rather than operating as a transactional salesperson, your success will come from getting in early, shaping decisions, and building a strong forward pipeline of specified work, while also maintaining a disciplined, proactive approach to winning and securing business.

There is a strong flow of incoming enquiries, project opportunities, and warm leads, providing you with genuine sales activity to follow up and convert, alongside your own proactive business development.

This is a role for someone who understands that strong specification creates opportunity, but commercial focus and follow-through converts it into sales results.

The Role:

  • Build and strengthen relationships within the A&D community, engaging architects, designers, and developers to drive specification opportunities.

  • Deliver product presentations and provide technical/design guidance, influencing product selection at design stage.

  • Identify upcoming projects and engage key decision-makers early.

  • Respond promptly and proactively to inbound enquiries, qualifying opportunities and progressing them through the sales pipeline.

  • Convert residential and commercial project enquiries into secured sales and revenue.

  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of specification and sales opportunities, tracking projects through to conversion.

  • Maintain visibility across project timelines from design through to completion.

  • Attending networking and industry events to build visibility and brand presence

About You:

  • Experience working with the Architectural and Design market and sound understanding of how it operates.

  • Experience in a similar specification-focused or commercially driven sales role

  • Exposure to construction, building materials, landscaping or architectural products.

  • Comfortable engaging with architects, designers, and project stakeholders

  • Strong influencing skills, able to guide decisions without being overly transactional.

  • Commercial mindset with a clear focus on pipeline and revenue outcomes

  • Self-motivated and capable of managing your own activity and relationships.

  • Ability to read architectural/ building plans.

  • Is motivated to achieve. Continually strives to increase business.
