About the Role: 

We, Auto Link Limited are looking for a highly skilled and professional AutomotiveTechnician & WOF Inspector to join our busy automotive service center. This isacritical role that combines advanced vehicle diagnostics, regulatory compliance. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- To perform engine, transmission, brake, steering, shock and all other partsinspect,diagnoses, repair, and replacement on all required vehicles. 

- Conduct WOF inspections to the highest NZTA standards 

- To carry out basic care maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations, diagnose. 

- Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance schedule and documentationofall equipment, service and repair for vehicles and equipment as needed. 

- To carry out service inspections, technicians test and lubricate enginesandothermajor components 

- To conduct complex problems, plan and execute vehicle repairs. Be abletousecomputerized shop equipment and work with electronic components whilemaintaining your skills with traditional hand tools. 

- To diagnose problems and determine the cause of the failure on variouspiecesofequipment and engines. 

- To read and interpret technical manuals and any other information dealingwithareas of expertise. 

- Assists with specification and upgrade of all repaired and replaced vehiclesandequipment. 

- To troubleshoot and repair or replace digital electronic components andcomputers.

- After repairing reassemble engines and parts 

- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in using oscilloscopes, scanners, andanalyzing complex circuit diagrams. 

- Perform complex electrical and mechanical diagnostics, specializing inCAN-bussystems and advanced fault-finding.

Requirements & Qualifications: 

- At least 3 years Automotive and engine repair experience required, or relevant Level 4or above qualification required. 

- Licensing: Must be a currently appointed NZTA WOF Inspector. - Hold a valid driver license. 

- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.

- Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.

- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs. 

- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment. 

- Good hand-eye coordination.
