Mt Richmond Wholesale Meats is looking for a Butchery Manager to lead our team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, operational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality meat products and excellent customer service.

Location: Mt Wellington, Auckland

Working Hours: 30–40 hours per week (flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays)

Pay Rate: $32–$35 per hour (based on experience and/or qualification)
Key responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the butchery.

Determine product range, stock levels, and pricing.

Supervise meat cutting, trimming, and portioning to meet quality standards.

Maintain machinery and ensure safe operation practices are followed.

Monitor stock, manage ordering, and reduce waste through effective rotation.

Plan and implement promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.

Manage costs and pricing to maximise profitability.

Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints effectively.

Recruit, train, and supervise staff.

Organise staff rosters and manage shift cover.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Carry out other related duties as required.

A relevant qualification (Diploma or higher) OR at least 3 years of relevant experience.
