Carpenter work with materials such as timber, concrete, steel and brick to lay foundations, erect framing, fit out interiors and apply cladding to buildings.
Salary Range: $26.69 - $30 per hour depends on skills and experience
Location: In Auckland range
Minimum hours per week: 30 hours at least.
Maximum hours per week: 55 hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other materials to construct frameworks, furniture, and structures.
- Installing fixtures, fittings, and structures such as windows, doors, stairs, and cabinets.
- Inspecting materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
- Repairing or replacing damaged or worn structures, fixtures, or furniture.
- Constructing and installing frameworks for walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Assembling and installing partitions, shopfronts, and signage.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
- Ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
What you'll need to succeed:
- NZQF Level 4 qualification, OR
- at least 2 years work experiences in construction industry.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of building plans and specifications.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
- Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- Problem-solving and time management skills.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and no criminal record
- Physically capable to perform heavy work
- Be able to work overtime and on Saturdays
