Aquanex Trading Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor – Seafood Processing to join our growing seafood operations team in Auckland.

We specialise in seafood processing and distribution, supplying quality seafood products to customers throughout New Zealand. 

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-time, permanent 

  • Location: Auckland region 

  • Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week 

  • Pay Rate: NZD $30.00 – $33.00 per hour, depending on experience 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily seafood processing operations 

  • Lead and support seafood processing staff to meet production targets 

  • Monitor product quality, hygiene, and food safety compliance 

  • Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed 

  • Train and guide staff on operational procedures and standards 

  • Coordinate workflow, production scheduling, and stock handling 

  • Maintain accurate production and quality records 

  • Liaise with management regarding operational requirements 

Requirements

Applicants should have either:

  • A relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent), or 

  • At least 2 years of relevant seafood or food processing experience, preferably including supervisory responsibilities 

Applicants should also demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills 

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced processing environment 

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Must be a NZ citizen or resident to apply
