We are currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join our head office in Auckland. We are looking for a proactive team player with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a high level of responsibility, who can support the efficient operation of our accounting department.

Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for recording, maintaining, and reconciling financial accounts, ensuring accurate and compliant accounting operations. Your duties will include:
• Receive and verify invoices for goods and services
• Resolve invoice discrepancies
• Prepare bank deposits
• Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files
• Researching and resolving invoice or statement discrepancies
• Ensuring correct approval, sorting and matching of invoices/statements
• Reconciling processed work by verifying entries
• Submit accounting report on a monthly basis
Terms of employment
Full-time permanent employee
Compensation
$28 - $36 per month (depending on experience and skills)
Minimum guaranteed hours of work
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Requirements
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, account reconciliation, and financial record management
• Experience with accounts receivable, billing, payment collection, and month-end reporting processes
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data entry and reporting
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain accurate accounting records and prepare financial reports
• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• High level of reliability, accountability, and ability to work independently
• Understanding of relevant financial compliance requirements in New Zealand
• Japanese language skills would be an advantage but are not essential
