We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Planner to join our growing glasshouse operations team.
This role is responsible for developing maintenance strategies, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring all plant and site equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance plans for glasshouse equipment and infrastructure.
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor maintenance activities across the site.
- Maintain maintenance records, service schedules, and equipment history.
- Liaise with technicians, contractors, and operational staff to minimise downtime and improve productivity.
- Inspect plant equipment and identify maintenance requirements and potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and company standards.
- Monitor inventory and arrange procurement of maintenance materials and spare parts when required.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and recommending long-term maintenance solutions.
- Prepare maintenance reports and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and plant equipment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance schedules and priorities effectively.
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working in glasshouse, agricultural, manufacturing, or industrial environments will be an advantage.
Employment Details
- Position: Full-time, Permanent
- Guaranteed Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $35– $45 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
- Location: Auckland, New Zealand
