Yug 4 limited seeking reliable Senior Dairy Farm Worker to join our dairy operation based in Te Puke. This is a full-time, permanent position with a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week and maximum 50 hours.

Key Responsibilities

Manage livestock breeding and oversee the rearing of young stock

 

Monitor animal health and identify nutrition or welfare concerns

 

Implement and supervise animal health and welfare programs

Plan and manage pasture and feed production

 

Develop and carry out feeding programs for livestock

 

Maintain and enforce farm biosecurity procedures

 

Oversee irrigation and water supply systems

 

Supervise daily farm operations including milking, herding, and stock handling

 

Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of farm buildings and equipment

 

Train, supervise, and support farm staff

 

Maintain accurate farm records and operate farm technology systems

 

Minimum Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant dairy farming experience OR

a relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification

 

Ability to supervise staff and work independently

Good level of physical fitness.
